Rugged shrouded mountains plunging into deep lochs, vast open heathland with deer roaming freely, wild coastlines, white sandy beaches and some truly exciting wildlife - Scotland has so much to offer it’s no wonder this beautiful country has topped polls before as the most stunning place on the planet. And there’s also the warm, friendly people proud of their country and it’s heritage. Back in April 2019 my wife and I spent a little over a week road tripping around the Cairngorms and a portion of the west coast including the Applecross peninsula and the Isle of Skye. In places it truly felt like we were visiting the United Kingdom’s last wilderness with miles and miles between settlements and seeing another living soul.
